Cari Smulyan, LMFT

Program Director and Individual Therapist 

Cari is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. Cari began her training at Peace Over Violence where she provided individual, group, and family therapy to clients who were survivors of domestic, sexual, and interpersonal violence. She did her final internship with The Saturday Center for Psychotherapy in Santa Monica where she received in depth, psychodynamic training. Cari believes that each person’s therapeutic journey is unique and tailors her approach to meet the needs of the individual by integrating principles of psychodynamic, attachment, mindfulness, and humanistic theoretical approaches. Cari is a RYT 500 licensed yoga instructor and dedicated athlete who is passionate about helping clients find their mind body connection .Cari has a private practice in Santa Monica where she offers outdoor walk and talk therapy and yoga therapy in addition to traditional talk therapy.
